Shithead

LOGLINE
Four friends reunite for their annual game of shithead; where the stakes have never been higher, and the loser risks facing the brunt of a forfeit they may never socially recover from

SYNOPSIS
Each year four friends, Dave, Neil, Boris and John, reunite to play their traditional game of “Shithead”, a card game which over the years has gotten out of hand through over-the-top forfeits. This year the games set to come to an end, John is moving away, and the group decides it’s time to leave the tradition behind. There’s one issue; Dave remains undefeated and yet to face a forfeit. Neil is desperate for Dave to lose. Inevitably, a forfeit is set, a tattoo of ‘Shithead’ on the loser. The group jokes amongst each other catching up and reflecting on their pasts at first. However, Dave and Neil end up awkwardly communicating about jobs and how their lives differ. Consequently, a sense of animosity is felt between Dave and Neil during the game which only grows; Neil’s anger routed on Dave never losing, and Dave annoyed with how his life compares to Neil’s. Their competitive natures clash as they face one another with the forfeit hanging over their heads.
